Establishing the relevance and value of contraceptives to adolescents: Lessons from aspirational ASRH program models

This poster presentation, given at the 2021 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) describes the core of A360’s program approach – to lead with supporting to girls to identify and validate their holistic goals for their lives and positioning contraception as a valuable tool in support of girls achieving those goals. Aspirational approaches can be used to support girls’ understanding of contraceptive relevance and build demand for services. Where feasible, the global ASRH sector should aim to break down siloes and work towards integrated, holistic programming which can address girls health and non-health needs in an integrated way.
