Angelica Mercado is the Sr. Associate Program Manager at Population Services International. With 7 years of experience in international development, Angelica leads the end-to-end financial and programmatic excellence of global health projects, in Asia, Latin America, and East and West Africa, including A360.
Angelica started her career in international development as the co-founder and executive director of EDUSINLI, a community-based non-profit organization in the Dominican Republic dedicated to empowering rural communities to continue their education and decrease teenage pregnancy. During her tenure, EDUSINLI served over 250 individuals and helped increase the literacy rate in the community.
After EDUSINLI, Angelica led the corporate development strategies at the League of United Latin American Citizens, a civil rights organization. There, she helped fundraise $4 Million in 9 months to support the Latinx community in the US.
In her free time, Angelica enjoys exploring the streets of Washington DC and mentoring first-generation college students.
