Working with A360 has been a journey of personal and professional transformation. Seeing young people confidently speak up for themselves and advocate for their communities was one of the most impactful experiences that changed my perspective. It showed me they were true partners in the program, not just beneficiaries.
I will never forget a 15-year-old girl in Zaria who was married at 14 and supported her sick parents by sewing with only a needle and thread. Through A360’s Life, Family and Health sessions and family planning services, she developed her skills and eventually received an industrial sewing machine from her LGA Chairman. Her story reminds me of what is possible when girls are empowered.
A360 also taught me that every young person is different, and quality programmes must adapt to meet their unique needs. Through A360’s mentorship and capacity-building opportunities, I overcame my fear of public speaking and grew into someone who confidently facilitates training sessions, engages government stakeholders, and presents at conferences.
