A360 Gender Training Modules (English)

This is a practical training series for use by organizations, programs, and other practitioners to better integrate gender into their ongoing programming. The training series includes three modules covering 1) Foundational Gender Concepts, 2) Gender in Monitoring & Evaluation, and 3) Use of the Gender Equality Continuum.

Each module includes a facilitator’s guide, powerpoint file, and participant handouts as relevant. Training modules are also available in French.

Duration: 1.5 hours (per module)

Format: Virtual or in-person

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this module 1, participants will be able to:

  • Understand key gender and inclusion concepts
  • Identify and analyze gender norms that affect project outcomes
  • Apply basic gender analysis methods in any program context
  • Design inclusive, gender-responsive community engagement strategies
  • Integrate gender into everyday decisions across roles and sectors

By the end of module 2, participants will be able to:

  • Understand gender sensitive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and why it is important
  • Understand where there are gender considerations throughout the M&E cycle
  • Understand how to develop gender indicators
  • Become familiar with various quantitative and qualitative approaches that can be used to measure impact and change on gender equality
  • Be able to identify ethical considerations related to gender in M&E and be equipped with methods for safeguarding against them

By the end of module 3, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what a gender equality continuum is
  • Understand how to use a gender equality continuum to assess program approaches and identify opportunities to shift power and promote equity
  • Be aware of key considerations when applying a gender equality continuum
