Seyoum is an enthusiastic development practitioner who believes people can make informed decisions about their lives and dreams with access to the right information and appropriate platforms for meaningful engagement. He has 10+ years of demonstrated experience and a track record of successfully leading projects/program designing and
implementation.

Seyoum is adept at utilizing the human-centered design philosophy to create lasting solutions toward ensuring social change. Before assuming the acting director, AYSRH/RISE position, Seyoum led the AYSRH program
as a deputy director and led RISE as a director in Ethiopia. In this role, he worked with multidisciplinary teams to design consumer-powered, replicable, cost-effective, adaptive solutions that support married and unmarried adolescent girls under 20 years to improve their sexual and reproductive health outcomes. 

Seyoum holds M.A in Population and Socioeconomic Development planning and M.Sc. in Development Economics, LL. B degree in Law, Diploma in Educational Administration, and Diploma in Leadership, Health Program Development. He has received several certificates from in-service training and has authored several publications. When not at his desk, Seyoum enjoys sports and loves volunteering at his local church and community social events.
